OUR PLASTC OCEAN, Mandy Barker

Lauriston Gallery, 11 Jan 20 – 07 March 20

This exhibition by international award-winning photographer, Mandy Barker, looks at global marine plastic pollution and its far-reaching effects.

At first glance, Barker’s photographs appear to show sea creatures and corals suspended deep beneath the sea, but closer inspection reveals a more disturbing reality. From footballs to fishing nets, cotton buds to coffee cup lids, Barker highlights the everyday plastic items now commonplace in our oceans and seas.
